DECEMBER IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE months here at CUMC Preschool. We get the opportunity to share the Christmas story and the love of our Lord and Savior.
I would like to take this time to thank everyone here at Christ United Methodist church for allowing us to continue to serve our Lord by providing this preschool program to all. Radical Hospitality and Intentional Faith Development are demonstrated as we give these children a place to learn of God's love.
OUR CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES will include the letters Jj and Ss; the colors green and red; and the star shape. We will be making lots of crafts and Christmas decorations. Pastor David will have a wonderful time teaching us about Baby Jesus, the Shepherds, the Angels, the Wisemen and the Star.
OUR THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION was the coming together of little Pilgrims and Indians snacking with their 'someone special' and sharing a moment of thankfulness and appreciation for the people in our lives. The children, as well as their special visitor, had a wonderful time.
THE COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER was another great success. We profited $2,900 this year. We hope to sell more later this winter. We do have extra tubs of cookie dough. Please contact the preschool office at 881-4804 or look for Julie Glasser on Sunday mornings, if you would like to purchase a tub or two of cookie dough. The proceeds go toward the scholarship fund, playground equipment, and some staff needs. Thank you to all who ordered or purchased this year. If we missed you on the pick-up date of November 16, please call Julie at 881-4804 to make arrangements for picking up your cookie dough.

4's and Pre-K only 3 Day Program - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Registration Fee: $120.00 Tuition: $170.00 per month
Pre-K only 4 Day Program - Monday through Thursday Registration Fee: $130.00 Tuition: $220.00 per month *Registration fee is non-refundable
Criteria for Enrollment
GYMNASTICS: 9:30 am - 10:00 am 1 day a week Tuesday-Thursday by Alicia VanMeter - Register during Parent's Night.
What is CUMC Preschool? We emphasize the teaching of God's love and the wonders of God's world.
Based on the theory that "children learn through play," our program includes opportunities for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through a "hands-on" learning approach. Concepts and skills are introduced which are appropriate to each child's stage of development.
We teach a "love of learning" by allowing the children to experience their own stage of development and help them to feel success without pressure.
What are CUMC resources? The CUMC teachers are its greatest resource. Each staff member is a dedicated Christian and has a desire to serve God's children.
Every teacher is given the opportunity to participate in the IAEYC State Conferences and attend yearly workshops provided by the preschool office.
We believe children learn best in an atmosphere of love and acceptance. Thus, we strive to maintain a happy, productive manner and use praise often.
While the school has grown, its mission and philosophy remain intact. We believe each child is created in the image of God and is a unique person of intrinsic worth.
