- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Evening in Tuscany February 13, 2010 5:30 pm in Fellowship Hall AN EVENING IN TUSCANY is back by popular demand. This fundraiser helps our youth raise money to fund events during the year. Once again you will be able to enjoy the Oldy-Wed Game. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by a DJ!
Evening in Tuscany tickets are $15.00 per person and groups can reserve tables. Tickets are available at the church office. Appetizers will be served at 5:30 pm with dinner shortly after 6:00 pm. The menu will consist of Appetizers, Olive Garden salad, Chicken and Pasta with Red or White Sauce, Garlic Breadsticks, and Cheesecake for dessert. Coffee, Iced Tea and Lemonade will be provided. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ash Wednesday Service Wednesday, February 17, 2010 The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer. As a family of believers we will join together on Ash Wednesday for an evening of mission, fellowship, and worship.
5:00 pm Mission and Service -We will be putting together 100 layettes and 100 health kits for UMCOR to aid with Haiti Relief. The supplies will be ready for assembly. Young, old, couples, singles, families, and friends can participate. 6:00 pm Supper -There will be soup and sandwiches and good fellowship for all. 7:00 pm Worship - This will be a time of scripture, prayer, and the imposition of ashes for those that desire. This is a great way to prepare yourself for the holiest of Christian seasons and the celebration of Easter. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Chili Cook-Off Third Annual Chili Cook-Off March 7, 2010 Four categories: poultry, exotic, spicy, and regular. Don't want to compete, but want to eat? Bring your dollars and change to vote for the best in each category. Cost is one dollar ($1.00) for a spoon and then you can sample all of the chili that you would like. After tasting then you may vote for your favorites in each category with your dollars and change. The chili raising the most money wins in their category.
